Rust-Eater Bisco Blu-ray/DVD and Original Soundtrack Releases Announced!
The much-anticipated TV anime Rust-Eater Bisco is set to premiere this week on January 11 in Japan. This anime is based on a light novel by Shinji Cobkubo, which topped both the overall and new work rankings in the 2019 edition of Takarajimasha’s Kono Light Novel ga Sugoi! (This Light Novel is Amazing!) Now, ahead of the anime’s release, a Blu-ray/DVD set and an original soundtrack CD have been announced. The first volume of the Blu-ray/DVD set, which will contain episodes 1 to 4, will be released on March 23, 2022. Volumes 2 and 3 will be released in the following months.
In addition to the anime’s episodes, this set will include audio commentary by the main cast, a special feature that is unique to this product. Vol. 1 will also come with a booklet containing a short story called “Onaka no Koibito” written by the original author Shinji Cobkubo. This story takes place in the anime’s world but is told from a different perspective, so it’s not to be missed! The slipcase will feature an original illustration by K. Akagishi and the Digipak case will feature an illustration by the anime staff.
In addition, the TV Animation Rust-Eater Bisco Original Soundtrack will be released on March 16, a week before the release of the Blu-ray/DVD set. This album is packed with music by Takeshi Ueda (AA=), who composed the BGM and main theme song “RUN!!~Sabikui Bisco,” and Hinako Tsubakiyama, who produced the ED theme song “Hōkō” (Howl). Listening to all of these songs will allow you to fully experience the dynamic world of Rust-Eater Bisco!
