FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE released their latest single ‘It’s all good’ on Friday, September 22 across all digital streaming platforms!  The song has a modern R&B sound that is relaxed and warm and packed with groove. Its lyrics speak of the importance of accepting ourselves as we are – living our best life without conforming to the path that others may try to set for us.

The song was used as the theme tune to ‘around 1/4', the ABC TV drama that began airing in July, in which FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE member Taiki Sato makes his first ever starring role. Check it out now!

FANTASTICS from EXILE TRIBE made their debut with the December 2018 single ‘OVER DRIVE’. From making music to presenting their own variety show on terrestrial TV in Japan, they are active in multiple areas of the entertainment industry. In recent years, the members have appeared in movies and theater, showcasing the breadth of their individual talents, while they have built up a following of over 6.6 million followers across their social media channels. They held their first solo arena tour between June and August 2023, titled FANTASTICS ARENA LIVE 2023 “HOP STEP JUMP”. On December 5, 2023, they will celebrate the 5th anniversary of their debut with the planned release of their third album.

Yuki Kajiura to Release Early Best Soundtrack Collection to Commemorate 30th Anniversary!

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of her debut, Yuki Kajiura has personally selected soundtracks from games and anime that she worked on from 2001 to 2009 in order to create the “30th Anniversary Early BEST Collection for Soundtrack,” which effectively summarizes her early career from the 2000s. The album will be released on December 6, 2023.

This collection includes soundtracks from various works she was involved in at FlyingDog, such as NOIR, Aquarian Age, .hack, Xenosaga, MADLAX, Elemental Gelade, Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, El Cazador de la Bruja, and PandoraHearts. In addition, it includes 7 tracks from Bandai Namco Music Live’s Mai-HiME series. There are a total of 71 tracks, many of which are currently difficult to obtain on CD. The accompanying booklet features interviews with Yuki Kajiura about the music production process.

The Limited First Edition comes with a Blu-ray Disc containing the studio live performance titled “Yuki Kajiura LIVE Extra Edition ~ Studio LIVEStreaming vol.#1 reprise!” which was originally streamed on September 18, 2020. This performance was a recreation of Yuki Kajiura LIVE VOL#1, which took place in 2008, with the current band members, and all the songs are from before 2008.

Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu Tries to Make the Cuteness Last Forever with Latest Release!

idol group Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu recently completed their Heart Lock-on Hall TOUR 2023, ending with a triumphant performance at Hitomi Memorial Hall at Showa Women’s University in Tokyo. This was their longest tour to date and included more performances than ever before, ending in resounding success. 

Now, Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu have released the music video for their latest single, ‘Kawaii Memorial’, which is set for release on September 27. The video is out now on their YouTube channel.

The music video was shot in Indonesia, which is the country where Cho Tokimeki♡Sendenbu’s breakout hit single ‘Suki! ~Cho ver~’ topped the Spotify Viral Top 50 chart when it was released in November 2021. This hit spawned a huge fan base for TokiSen in Indonesia; and when they performed at the Impactnation Japan Festival 2023 in Indonesia in July 2023, it seemed the ideal location to film their new video.

The word “kawaii” means “cute” in Japanese, and the video is stuffed to bursting with cuteness. The song has a bright, sparkling melody that is sure to soundtrack your “kawaii memorial” day, and the video suits this vibe perfectly. The song was used in season 2 of the drama series ‘Minato Shouji Coin Laundry’, and a video for the ‘Minato Shouji Coin Laundry ver.’ edition of the song was shot on the location of the drama series and released on July 26.

Sumire Uesaka Returns with Single Fit for a Princess with Tearmoon Empire OP!

Pop icon Sumire Uesaka returns with another massive and catchy song that’s destined for success among anime and Japan fans around the world. The track is entitled ‘Princess’ Happy Ending’ and is available to download and stream from today. Its release comes ahead of it featuring as the opening theme to the highly anticipated first anime adaptation of Tearmoon Empire, a hugely popular light novel and manga that has sold over 1.4 million copies. The anime begins airing from October outside of Japan via Crunchyroll and sees Sumire Uesaka also star as the series’ main character, princess Mia.

Helping Sumire Uesaka achieve success is singer-songwriter Oishi Masayoshi, marking his first time to work with the star with this track. Previously Masayoshi has penned several anime theme songs through his career, including themes for the Overlord, Isekai Quartet and Ace of Diamond series.

The full six-track single will also include ‘polar night’ written by TSUMIKI, a musician known for ‘Tokyo Shandy Rendezvous’, the ending theme for 2022’s Urusei Yatsura reboot, and who is also responsible for Vocaloid mega hit ‘Phony’ (the official video on YouTube has over 45 million plays, with countless covers and reuploads).

‘Princess’ Happy Ending’s full single will also see Uesaka reunite with long-time collaborator TECHNOBOYS PULCRAFTGREEN-FUND for the track ‘RENGAKU: Portable Humanoid’. The creative force has worked on several Sumire Uesaka tracks through her long career, ranging from bouncy electronic track ‘Koisuru Zukei (cubic futurismo)’, the music video to which has been watched close to three million times on YouTube), to the distinctively Japanese-sounding ‘Riverside Lovers (Naraku no Koi)’.

The Co-Write camp iis scheduled to take place from September 25th,Monday to September 28th, Thursday and will feature two teams: Team Fukuoka consisting of YAØ (Singapore) × Chocoholic (Japan) and Team Itoshima comprising VUIZE (Taiwan) × Ai Kakihira (Japan). In addition, Fukuoka, Japan is slated to be the inaugural hub, acting as a pivotal point for music business consultations, overseas music dissemination, and international event performances.
