The Nogizaka46 girls sing and dance their hearts out in latest music video!

Popular girl idol group Nogizaka46 released the music video for their upcoming single “Sing Out!” on their official YouTube channel. Dropping May 29, “Sing Out!” will be the group’s twenty-third single and first single of 2019, with Asuka Saito elected to be center for the single.

The music video is directed by famed music video director Kazuma Ikeda, who has worked with the group several times before, the last being on “Synchronicity” last year. While the track is a little bit of a slower tempo than those of singles past, the music video depicts the girls energetically singing, dancing, clapping, and overall having a great time doing it all. 

Per the norm of 46 releases, “Sing Out!” will feature several different editions: a CD-only standard edition and four CD + Blu-ray limited editions simply titled Types A, B, C, and D. The Blu-ray is set to include the music video for “Sing Out!”, the B-side track that is tied to each Type, and a promotional video for the newly introduced fourth generation of Nogizaka46—which will only be on Types A and B, four members being on each. Types C and D will include a small move done by Shika-Chan with the first half being on Type C and the second being on Type D.

Nogizaka46 says goodbye to another member

Karin Ito announced March 22 that she would be leaving the popular idol group. Via Ito’s blog, she was saying that, upon reflection, she felt there was no future for her in the group and decided to leave. She is “still trying to figure out what is next for her” and says she needs some time to figure it out. A specific time for Ito’s graduation is still being determined but the handshake event at Aichi Port Messe Nagoya May 11 will be Ito’s last.

Ito first made her debut with Nogizaka46 on May, 2013 and is a part of the second generation of Nogizaka46. Since Ito’s debut she has been on several B-side tracks.

Oricon Reveals Their 2018 Rankings!

Oricon released their official 2018 ranking with Namie Amuro taking Top Artist Sales, thus winning this ranking two years consecutively—a feat that hasn’t been accomplished by a female solo artist since Koda Kumi in 2007. Amuro totaled the year out with close to 19 billion yen in sales, making 2018 the second consecutive year Amuro has sold past 10 billion yen.

As the Hesei Era ends in Japan, so too will Hesei Pop Queen Namie Amuro. Following Amuro is Nogizaka46 with 1.3 billion yen in sales—making them one of the only groups with shorter careers to make the Top 3 in two consecutive years—and AKB48 taking third.

Speaking of AKB48, they also broke an amazing record by “Teacher Teacher” and “Sentimental Train” taking both #1 and #2 for Top Selling Singles. This marks the ninth consecutive year they have achieved this. Following AKB48 is Nogizaka46’s “Synchronicity” tailing in at third, with additional artists such as Keyakizaka46’s “Glass wo Ware” taking eighth and King & Prince’s “Cinderella Girl” rounding out at tenth.

On the album side of accomplishments, Namie’s Finally took number one, albeit selling only 630,000 copies. AKB48’s 僕たちは、あの日の夜明けを知っている (Bokutachi wa, Ano Hi Yoake) trailed close behind with a 20,000 copy differential. With Southern All-Star’s 海のOh,Yeah!! (Umi No Oh, Yeah!!) taking third. Not to be ignored, Korea’s BTS’s FACE YOURSELF and Twice’s BDZ taking seventh and eighth respectively .

Nogizaka46 Announces Their Latest Single!

Super idol group Nogizaka46 announced today a brand new single, “帰り道は遠回りしたくなる” (“Kaerimichi wa Tomawari Shitakunaru”), being released on November 14. This will be the group twenty second single over all, and will have Nanase Nishino as the center who is set to graduate soon after.

Nogizaka46’s Newest Single Title Finally Revealed !

Mega idol group Nogizaka46 revealed the name of their upcoming twenty-first single, “ジコチューで行こう” (“Jikochuu de Ikou”). As previously reported, it will be released on August 8, and Asuka Saito is set to be the center of the single. “Jikochuu de Ikou“ will be released with five different editions as seen below!
