Ayumi Hamasaki Counts Down to the Promised Land in Live Blu-ray!

Japanese pop singer-songwriter, icon, and industry veteran Ayumi Hamasaki announced her latest Count Down tour, ayumi hamasaki COUNTDOWN 2019-2020 -Promised Land A-, will be released via Blu-ray August 26! Ayumi-san began her New Years COUNTDOWN concerts in 2000 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo and continued releasing them on DVD/Blu-ray until her COUNTDOWN 2014-2015 A Cirque de Minuit -Mayonaka no Circus. This will be the first time in three years Ayumi-san has released her COUNTDOWN tour on DVD/Blu-ray to celebrate New Years Eve and it was a celebration to capture her coming back to her “Sacred Place” to perform. Ayumi-san delivers a one-night premium show with overwhelming acts from all over the world including a full choir, strings, horns, unique stage production, and more!

Ayumi-san’s ayumi hamasaki COUNTDOWN 2019-2020 -Promised Land A- will come in four editions: a DVD, Blu-ray, a 2-CD + Blu-ray + GOODS FanClub, and a 2-CD + DVD + GOODS FanClub . Each release will include a total of 27 performances and many of Ayumi-san’s classics such as “Fly high” and “Boy's&Girls” along with newer tracks such as “how beautiful you are” and “Song 4 U”. The FanClub edition will include two additional CDs and original merchandise. The first press edition will come with a A5 sized postcard. Ayumi Hamasaki celebrates twenty year anniversary of second album

Industry legend Ayumi Hamasaki released her second studio album LOVEppears twenty years ago along with her iconic single “appears”—that means it’s time to celebrate it by releasing it again. LOVEppears / appears -20th Anniversary Edition-  is going to drop November 10 and will be a complete remaster of Ayumi’s second album that uses the original recording tapes. The album will be released in two editions, a standard edition that will manifest in three discs total and a limited edition that will feature four discs plus a bonus DVD.  The limited edition will feature the famous album cover but it will be a full body shot and will feature digipak packaging along with a transparent sleeve. Ayumi Hamasaki proves she is reigning Japanese music queen

Avex trax all-star, Japanese pop vocalist and songwriter Ayumi Hamasaki proves she is the reigning Japanese music queen in a recent poll from Yahoo! Japan. The poll held a survey asking its subscribers to vote on the most popular female solo artist of the Heisei era. There were eight artists to choose from, with options being: Ayumi Hamasaki, Namie Amuro, Utada Hikaru, aiko, MISIA, Kana Nishino, AIMYON, Shiina Ringo, and “Other/I Don’t Know”. The voting commenced March 12 until 31. In total there were over 158,000 votes. Ayumi Hamasaki smashed the competition and took number one with a massive 78,751 (49.8%) votes. Namie Amuro came a close second with 64,263 (40.6%) votes. Between Ayumi Hamasaki and Namie Amuro they took over 90% of the votes, showing the massive influence these ladies have in the industry (poll details below). Who is your J-pop queen?

Ayumi Hamasaki celebrates her 20th Anniversary with a New Album

Vocalist Ayumi Hamasaki has announced a new album, Trouble, being released on August 15. Trouble is being released to commemorate her 20th anniversary in the music industry. This will be released with six different editions total, with a Jacket A edition  and Jacket B edition. It will be released in CD Only, CD+DVD, and CD+Blu-ray for each Jacket. The CD+DVD/CD+Blu-ray are mu-mo exclusives and can only be ordered within Japan. For those of you who don't know, mu-mo is a Japanese shopping website that sells exclusive CDs and concert goods. The CD Only versions are available on CDJapan for pre-order. 

According to mu-mo's website, each version will contain only five tracks each on the CD and the DVD/Blu-ray's for each Jacket will contain a different concert. "We are the QUEENS" and "WORDS", which were previously released will be included on the album, as well as three new tracks. The mu-mo exclusives also come in a deluxe box, with a photo card, and a signed heart shaped keychain.
