Daichi Miura Gives Fans A Reason To Stay Home!

Japanese R&B-pop vocalist and dancer Daichi Miura have started a special set of YouTube live releases titled “1 Song Home Live” to help prevent the spread of COVID-19 as Daichi’s 「DAICHI MIURA LIVE TOUR 2019-2020 COLORLESS」has been postponed indefinitely. “1 Song Home Live” will come out on each scheduled day his tour was supposed to take place and each live special will be available for 1 week. After the cancellation, Daichi wanted to bring his fans together in a way that they can still continue to watch him live. This week’s release is song #8 “Delete My Memories”. Artist Daichi Miura revealed he will be dropping his latest single titled “I’m Here” on January 15. “I’m Here” is being used as the theme song for the medical drama 「病室で念仏を唱えないでください」(Byōshitsu de nenbutsu o tonaenaide kudasai) which features several members from GENERATIONS of EXILE Tribe as cast members. The single will be a medium tempo dance number that is a positive affirming song. It is being released in three editions total: a standard CD-only edition, a CD + DVD edition, and a CD + Blu-ray edition. The contents of the Blu-ray and DVD will feature the music video for “I’m Here” and “COLORLESS”, the third track on the CD, will have its own video. Daichi Miura gives fans a peek around the Corner with latest music video!

Vocalist Daichi Miura dropped a small preview of his upcoming song “片隅” (“Katasumi”) on Avex’s official YouTube channel. Dropping June 12, “Katasumi” is set to be the insert song for medical drama 白衣の戦士! (Hakui no Senshi).

As previously reported, “Katasumi” is written by popular Japanese model Koki. Koki stated that she wrote the song for “someone who has high vocals” and was happy to find out that Miura would be the one performing the song. The preview shows off Miura’s gentle yet powerful vocals in an extremely beautiful arrangement.

“Katasumi”, which will be released as a double A-side single alongside his track “Corner”, will be released in two editions: a CD + DVD edition and a CD + Blu-ray edition, both of which will include the music video for “Katasumi”.

Daichi Miura has new single around the corner

Popular vocalist Daichi Miura has a new single coming out just around the corner. The new single, “片隅 (Katasumi) / Corner“, is due out June 12 and serving as an insert song for the TV drama 白衣の戦士！ (Hakui no Senshi!) . “片隅 (Katasumi)” was written and composed by popular Japanese model Koki.

Koki mentioned in a statement that she wrote the song for “someone who has high vocals” and was happy to find out that Miura would be the one performing the song. She says she finds his voice to be gentle. Miura commented how he finds the song to be very beautiful.

“片隅 (Katasumi) / Corner“ is being released in two editions. One edition is the CD + DVD Edition while the other version of “片隅 (Katasumi) / Corner“ that is being released will be a CD + Blu-ray.

Also coming out June 12 is a live recording of the concert Miura did March 13 at Osaka-Jo Hall which was titled “ONE END”. “ONE END” is coming out on both Blu-ray and DVD; both editions will come in a two-disc set along with two CDs as well.

Daichi Miura's Royal Masterpiece!

Vocalist Daichi Miura will have the honor in performing on a once in lifetime project on February 24th titled “Utagoe no Hibiki” . In celebration of Emperor Akihito reign for 30 years there will be an event on the 24th that honors the royal family. As part of the celebration Daichi Miura has been chosen to sing a song that was written by the Emperor Akihito himself, and composed by his wife Empress Michiko.

Both Emperor Akihito and Empress Michiko have a minor background in music with Emperor Akihito an experience cello player while Empress Michiko is a gifted piano player.

It is currently unknown that the song will actually physical release to the public but we’re hoping that it will!
