Hirakawaji 1-chome Announces First Album in Thirteen Years
/Folk rockers Hirakawaji 1-chome (Hirakawachi-Itchome) revealed they will be releasing their first album in thirteen years. The group is a brother duo who started their music career in order to find their mother who left them when they were young. She took their youngest brother with her so the two brothers were determined to get their mother’s attention through fame. Their efforts proved successful after she saw them during one of their television appearances. With that, the group announced in May 2008 that they would be disbanding (yet still apparently creating music?).
The new album is being titled Toki no Gradation and is set to be released June 6. It will be the group’s fourth studio album and will feature a wide variety of music. Toki no Gradation is being released only as CD-only. Pre-orders are up and located below along with a full track listing.
