Singer and performer Masaki Suda announced that he will be performing the main theme for the upcoming Doraemon movie titled STAND BY ME Doraemon 2. The new song will be called “Niji” and will be released on November 25th. “Niji” was composed by Suda’s friend Huwie Ishizaki. Ishizaki wrote a warm wedding song with the theme of “family” that is close to the wishes of the bride and groom. The trailer for the upcoming film does have “Niji” playing in the background.

“Niji” is being released in two editions total, a standard CD-only edition and a limited edition that will come with a bonus Blu-ray. The CD will feature a total of three tracks and include the song “Keep On Running” which is a collaboration song with the rock band OKAMOTO’S. The contents of the DVD have yet to be revealed.
