Suchmos Announces Hiatus!

We unfortunately have to announced that six-member rock band Suchmos announced that they will be put on hiatus for the foreseeable future. They reported on the band's official website that they will be temporarily suspended as a result of repeated discussions with members and staff on future projects. The band commented to the fans, "Thank you again for the music lovers who have followed us from the first live performance of 6 people in front of 30 people at Shimokitazawa Garage to the stage of 30,000 people at Yokohama Stadium." "And we look forward to working with you in the future." Originally formed in 2013, the group had attracted a lot of attention for their diverse musicality rooted in traditional, modern, eastern and western music such as rock, jazz, and hip hop.

COLOR CREATION Announces Hiatus!

Five-member boy vocal unit COLOR CREATION announced that they will be going on hiatus at the end of October. The reason for the hiatus was explained on their official site. With live concerts being restricted due to the ongoing pandemic, each member was given more time to think about their own future. This, coupled with the illness of member KAZ, gave the finality of the decision. KAZ commented, “…we decided to go on hiatus from COLOR CREATION and will focus on individual projects. We would like to thank the fans for their continued support and encouragement when each member begins his own path.” There are also comments from the five members on their official website. The announcement comes shortly before the release of the group’s upcoming second album, SECOND PALETTE, that will drop on September 23.

ROOKiEZ is PUNK'D on indefinite hiatus

Japanese three-member rock group ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D announced that the group will be taking an indefinite hiatus after their「World Tour 2018-2019」ends May 31 at Club QUATTRO in Shibuya. This news of hiatus came during the tour celebrating their album The Sun Also Rises, the tour having begun in September. On the band’s official website they released the following comment: “Due to issues that caused progress to stop within the group, after long discussions the band decided to take a  hiatus.”

The group originally formed in 2006, with first single “Complication” used as the second opening of popular anime Durarara!!!! This jumpstarted their career, which took off from 2010. Over the years ROOKiEZ is PUNK’D has released many memorable songs, several of which include theme songs to popular anime including Blue Exorcist, Bleach, and Yowamushi Pedal.
