Kanjani8 Keeps Fans Company With Upcoming Single!

Popular five-member Johnny’s boy group Kanjani8 announced that they will be releasing a brand new single, “ひとりにしないよ” (“Hitori ni Shinai yo”), June 23. This will be the latest release by the boys since the single “Kimi to Mitai Sekai” back in February and will be their 46th single overall. The title song of the single is the heartwarming message song "Hitori ni Shinai yo", written as the theme song for the drama  コタローは1人暮らし (Kotaro wa Hitori Seikatsu) which stars member Yo Yokoyama. 

The single will be released with two tracks and will come with three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two limited editions lovingly called Types A and B. Both limited editions will come with a bonus DVD and every edition will include a different B-side track. Type A will come with the music video of the track along with a making-of and solo angles of the music video. Type B will include a music clip of the B-side track “Bryure-Re:9EST edition-” along with its making-of and solo angles of the music video. The standard edition will come with two additional bonus tracks along with the karaoke versions for three of them, totaling to seven tracks included.

Kanjani8 Show Their Love In New Single

Five-member boy idol group Kanjani8 has announced they will be releasing a brand-new single titled 「キミトミタイセカイ」 (“Kimi to Mitai Sekai”), which is set to be released on February 10. “Kimi to Mitai Sekai” will be the group’s forty-fifth single overall and is being used as the opening theme for the fantasy love drama 知ってるワイフ (Shitteru waifu) which stars Tadayoshi Okura, who is a member of Kanjani8, portrays a man who slips back in time and replaces his wife and realizes what is really important.

“Kimi to Mitai Sekai” is being released in three editions total: a standard edition that will be CD-only and two limited editions that are labeled or called Type A and B, which will come with a bonus DVD.  There is also a bundle that combines each edition. Jin Akanishi and Ryo Nishikido Form New Unit!

Former Johnny’s members Jin Akanishi and Ryo Nishikido announced on December 9th that they have formed a new unit titled N/A. They dropped their first teaser trailer on December 6th called “MEN IN THE ARENA” to promote their collaboration and global record contract under Warner Music Japan. They kick off their activities in May, including a concert in Honolulu, Hawaii on May 24!

Jin Akanishi is a former member of the popular Johnny’s boy group KAT-TUN who debuted as a solo artist in 2010 with much success from there on. Ryo Nishikido is a former member of two other popular Johnny’s boy groups, NEWS and Kanjani8. Ryo-san left NEWS in 2011 and left Kanjani8 in September 2019 to pursue a solo career. He recently debuted as a solo artist and released his first album, Nomad, last December 11.

Kanjani8 inspires fans with their friendship through new single!

Popular Johnny’s group Kanjani8 announced that they will releasing a brand new single, “友よ”(“Tomoyo”), November 27. This will be the latest single from the group since “crystal” back in March and the latest since Ryo Nishikido’s departure in September. Not much is known about the single except that it will be released with three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD + DVD limited edition, and a CD + T-shirt special edition. Both the limited edition and special edition will drop with two tracks and the limited edition will also include the music clip and making-of for “Tomoyo”. The special edition will include a T-shirt of the group’s latest cross country tour BOY. Not to be out done by the other editions, the standard edition will boast an additional track along with the instrumental versions for all three tracks.
