Superstars MAN WITH A MISSION have released their brand new single “More Than Words“, the latest song to be taken from their forthcoming album Break and Cross the Walls II out 27 May via our friends at JPU Records.“More Than Words”, available to download / stream now, is a danceable and dynamic rock song featuring vocals in both English and their native tongue which focus on the need for unity and togetherness to succeed. The single is the main theme song for Radiation House: the Movie, which will be released in Japan this weekend. The English trailer for the film is available to watch below. MAN WITH A MISSION bassist and songwriter Kamikaze Boy has a special connection with the song and says, "It’s about people sharing thoughts and feelings, even though they have a hard time exchanging words."

“More Than Words” is the latest MAN WITH A MISSION single to join the Radiation House franchise, following their 2019 hit single “Remember Me“ featuring in the soundtrack for the Japanese TV show. The song's official music video has also been watched over 24 million times on YouTube.

As modern-day Japanese cultural icons, further MAN WITH A MISSION songs from the forthcoming 14-track album have been selected for syncs across film, TV, gaming and sport including; “Blaze”, the opening theme from the TV anime Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans Special Edition, “Perfect Clarity” from last year’s movie Hinomaru Soul-Behind the Scenes Heroes, “All You Need” featured song in the game app A.I.M. $ -All you need Is Money and “Tonight Tonight” which was the theme song for the X Games Chiba 2022 Presented by Yogibo. The album is the companion work to Break and Cross the Walls I, released last November, whose cover showed the five wolves playing chess; the dominant shades – black and white – representing the conflicts occurring all over the world at this time.

On Break and Cross the Walls II, the album reflects a world bursting into colour – from conflict to harmony, with a striking visual image – five wolves in paint-splattered, multi-coloured jumpsuits creating a new world of hope and peace!

MAN WITH A MISSION is Thunderstruck in Latest Music Video!

Break and Cross the Walls I, the brand new album from the Japanese superstars MAN WITH A MISSION, is out internationally on CD from our friends at JPU Records, along with video on demand content. Marking the release the band have revealed the video for their take on the AC/DC classic “Thunderstruck”.

MAN WITH A MISSION put their half man, half wolf arena-rock spin on the iconic track with DJ Santa Monica providing frenzied record scratching among an intoxicating electronic bongo rhythm from Spear Rib, while Kamikaze Boy, Jean-Ken Johnny and Tokyo Tanaka take on the vocals and riffs of the original. The video was recorded at the band’s recent headline show at the Yokohama Arena and available to watch here.

Regarding the track Johnny says, “The reason why we decided to cover this song is because it's simply such a cool song. It has the organic power that rock music holds. It's not overboard, but it doesn't underplay. It's a song that's straight rock and is such a strong, powerful song that it might even sound foolish. Maybe it's a song that we, in our generation, just needed.”

Break and Cross the Walls I is the band’s sixth studio album. The collection was originally conceived as an ambitious two-disc set but recording sessions became affected by the prolonged world Covid situation and, so as not to disappoint fans with a longer wait, it was decided to release the set as two consecutive albums, with the second half due to be released in Spring this year. 

Break and Cross the Walls I includes tracks such as the recently released “Merry-Go-Round”, opening theme of the popular TV anime My Hero Academia, Godzilla vs Kong (Japanese edition) movie theme song “INTO THE DEEP”, 2020 NHK soccer theme song “Change the World” and “Remember Me”, the main theme for Japanese TV drama Radiation House II. In addition to many other hit songs including the likes of “86 Missed Calls feat. Patrick Stump”.

MAN WITH A MISSION Brings the Merry-Go-Round to Stores Near You!

Popular five-member rock band MAN WITH A MISSION announced that they will be relaying a physical edition of their latest single, “Merry-Go-Round”, September 8. As previously reported, "Merry-Go-Round" is serving as the opening theme of the fifth season of popular superhero anime My Hero Academia and was released digitally on July 17. The physical single will drop with three editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited and anime edition, the latter two of which to come with a bonus DVD. The limited edition DVD will include footage from their ONE WISH TOUR and "INTO THE DEEP" LIVE HOUSE VIEWING concert. The anime edition DVD will feature the music video for “Merry-Go-Round” along with a no-credit opening crawl.

Popular five-member rock band MAN WITH A MISSION, just released their latest single called, “INTO THE DEEP” on June 9, just announced more exciting news about a new song!! This new song called “Merry-Go-Round” is featured as the new opening theme song for the popular superhero Anime My Hero Academia for the second term of season 5. MWAM who composed the song commented that the members have also been a big fan of the original manga.  ‘I was so pleased that I had the great opportunity of creating the opening theme song for My Hero Academia since I truly love this manga series!’ Their latest song consisted of a dramatic and strong sound. 

This song is about the frustrated and endless circulation of one’s emotion when people aim to achieve something. Like the song title “Merry-Go-Round”, it describes when you run passionately after trying to reach someone special which is your aim, but you don’t feel like you are achieving or getting closer at all. This new opening theme song was first heard on Saturday June 26 and their new PV with the footage of the new opening sequence was also released prior to the broadcasting of the theme song on TV. The digital distribution of “Merry-Go-Round” starts on the July 17 on all music streaming platforms!

“I’m truly glad that I had this amazing opportunity of composing the theme song of My Hero Academia. I have always enjoyed reading the manga series! When Izuku admires All Mighty, when people chase someone’s back trying to reach their goals, and still you don't feel like you are getting closer to it at all… I made this song based on that complex feeling. And I compare the feeling to a merry-go-round. I hope this song will be an exciting addition to the story as a ‘Plus Ultra’.Let’s enjoy this new season of the story together!”

MAN WITH A MISSION One Wish Comes True with Upcoming EP!

Five-member rock band MAN WITH A MISSION announced that they will be releasing a brand-new EP, One WishH, February 10. This will be the latest physical release from the group since CHANGE THE WORLD back in July and will be their first release of 2021. The EP will release with four tracks total, three of which were the previously released digital tracks “Telescope,” “All You Need,” and “evergreen,” along with a Special Showcase featuring several tracks from their MAN WITH A “BEST” MISSION album.

One WishH will drop with two editions: a CD-only standard edition and a limited edition that will include a bonus DVD. The DVD will include footage from their MAN WITH A “REBOOT LIVE & STREAMING” MISSION that took place in August.
