Minori Suzuki Brings A New Feeling with Latest Release!

Minori Suzuki, who just released her sixth CD single “BROKEN IDENTITY” back in June, has more release information to share about her upcoming release! “Wherever,” the ending theme song for the TV anime Black Summoner, which began airing this July, will be released as a digital single on August 7. “Wherever” is Suzuki’s first R&B tune. Its slow groove and lyrics will gently draw you in and help you relax at the end of the anime.

At the same time, a new artist photo was revealed. In line with the atmosphere of the song, it shows a chic and mature Suzuki. Although she is well into her career, her powers of expression and ability to sing a wide range of genres continue to evolve. She will also be voicing the character Sera in the anime.

In other news, Suzuki will be holding her first fan club-only event. Held in celebration of the fan club’s 4th anniversary, it will be her first face-to-face event with the club. It is guaranteed to make lots of smiles and bring the fans closer to Suzuki. We hope you will join us!

Please keep an eye on the future activities of Minori Suzuki, who is gaining more and more momentum as both a voice actress and singer! Be sure to check out the lyric video for “Whatever” below!

Comment on “Wherever” from Minori Suzuki

“I’ve tried many types of music through my work so far, but this is the first time I’ve done R&B! Not only is it unusual for me, but it’s also quite a rare genre in the anisong world. This song maintains the worldview of the anime, while also providing a little contrast in a good way. It’s the ending theme, so please take your time and enjoy it while you reflect on the events of the day’s episode. I’m also looking forward to seeing how the ending video will turn out.”

Minori Suzuki Brings A New Identity with Upcoming Release!

Vocalist Minori Suzuki has announced that she will be releasing her 6th single “BROKEN IDENTITY” on June 1, 2022. The title song is the opening theme of I’m Quitting Heroing, a new anime airing from April 5 in Japan. The anime’s second promotional video features the chorus of this song, which is a hard rock tune unlike anything Suzuki has done before. The single will have a total of six songs, including two new coupling tracks and an instrumental of each.

The single will be released in three formats: Limited Edition A will include a Blu-ray Disc containing the Minori Suzuki Anime Song Covers Collection, a sequel to the Minori Suzuki Covers Collection that gained popularity on YouTube last year. This will include four newly recorded covers, along with comment videos, and a self cover of “Saihate” that was only performed once during a special livestream to commemorate the release of her previous single. Limited Edition B will include a CD containing the sound source of Minori Suzuki 2nd LIVE TOUR 2021~Make My Story!~, which was held last year. It will be a 60 minute recording and contain all 11 songs. More specifics about tracks will be announced at a later date. The Regular Edition will come with a CD wrapper with an original anime illustration.

A new artist photo has also been revealed. Minori Suzuki is shown in a beautiful blue dress with a slightly melancholy expression on her face. The mature image raises expectations for the cover picture, which will be released in coming days.

In other exciting news, several full music videos of Minori Suzuki’s past singles will be released on YouTube and other streaming/download services at midnight on March 15. We hope you will take the opportunity to look back on her career!

JUNNA:

I’m incredibly honored to be singing the opening theme song “Umi to Shinju” for the wonderful anime that Fena: Pirate Princess is. I’m thrilled to have the chance to work with Kajiura on this song. The first time I heard it, I was overcome with excitement and wondered what kind of story would start to unfold. While receiving directions from Kajiura in the recording studio and imagining the magnificent world of the anime, I put all of my determination into the song and sang my heart out. I would be so happy if you could feel the emotions of the characters setting off on their new adventure as you listen to the song. I hope that it becomes a song of courage that gives everyone who listens to it that extra little push of encouragement that they need.

Minori Suzuki:

“Saihate” was chosen as the ending theme because Director Nakazawa said it perfectly matched the world of Fena: Pirate Princess. I fell in love with this song the moment I heard it, so I’m incredibly grateful for this opportunity! I’m so happy! I’m sure that Fena’s beautiful innocence will give courage to many people. I can say with confidence that this is a great song! Through this anime, I hope it will spread across the seven seas and throughout the whole world!

Minori Suzuki’s artist photo has been revamped. In a desolate landscape, she stares at you with a sombre expression on her face. What do the reflection of herself and the key she’s holding in her hand represent?
