To hype up the release of their upcoming album, four-member pop rock band SEKAI NO OWARI released the music video for the song “Heart Man” on YouTube. Set to be a part their upcoming album scent of memory that will drop on July 7th, the track is currently being used as the theme song for Fuji TV’s News Program めざまし8 (Mezamashi8). The music video is directed by Dai Ikeda, who had previously worked with the band on the music video for "umbrella" and "silent". The pictures were taken at the aquarium, arcade, and Chinese restaurant that SEKAI NO OWARI members are accustomed to, and the natural facial expressions and gestures of the members are elegantly captured.

Sekai No Owari Remember Scents In New Album

Four-member pop band Sekai No Owari announced they will be dropping their sixth album, titled Scent Of Memory, which is set to be released July 7. The new album will contain a total of twelve songs, its full track list yet to be revealed, but it will include their track “Birdman” which is being used for the weekday morning show Mezamashi 8. Their song “silent” is also being used as the theme song for the romance drama Kono Koi Atatamemasuka. Scent Of Memory is being released in two editions: a standard CD-only edition and a limited edition which will come with a bonus CD and DVD. SEKAI NO OWARI Reveals More Information about Upcoming Best Of Album!

Four-member pop-rock band SEKAI NO OWARI announced that they will be releasing a Best-of album titled SEKAI NO OWARI 2010-2019 on February 10th. Originally planned to be released back in May, the album was delayed to stop the spread of the ongoing pandemic, with the new date being the anniversary of the band’s debut. The album will include thirty tracks from the band’s illustrious career from their first album EARTH till their 2019 album EYE along with an additional bonus track titled “Summer”. The album will also drop with three editions: a 2 CD-only standard edition, a 2 CD+DVD limited edition, and a 2 CD+DVD+Photo book special edition. Both DVDs will feature several live performances throughout the band’s history, with the special edition including a 300-page photo book called “History of SEKAI NO OWARI”.

SEKAI NO OWARI Can’t Keep Silent Anymore With Latest Music Video!

Four-member pop rock band SEKAI NO OWARI released the music video for their track “silent” on their YouTube channel. Scheduled for release December 16, this will be the latest single by the group since “umbrella/ Dropout” back in May and is their fourteenth single overall.  It is currently set to be used as the theme song for the love drama この恋あたためますか (Kono Koi Atatamemasuka) and is a Christmas song. The production of the music video involved renting out a campsite along with use of a special stage with many lights on the truck container. This created a lovely Christmassy atmosphere.

Looking back on the process of making this song, the members commented, "It was hard to remember the feeling of winter when we were developing the song midsummer. We even tried to make the room cold with an air conditioner to remind us of the cool of winter. We also went around popular date spots in Tokyo and thought of the track while watching a couple in the distance… from there we finally felt the ‘Christmas feeling’.”

As previously reported, “silent” will drop with three editions: a CD-only standard edition and two CD+DVD limited editions simply called Type A and Type B. Type A’s DVD will include the music video for “silent” along with the making-of while Type B will come with a bonus feature titled “Holiday Session #1”.

Sekai No Owari Remains Silent For the Christmas Season

Rock band Sekai No Owari announced a brand-new single titled “Silent” and is set to be released on December 16th. The new song is being used as the main theme for the Romantic Drama Kono Koi Atatamemasuka which already began airing on TBS (Tokyo Broadcasting Station).  “Silent” is a Christmas song that makes you feel like the coming season. A producer of the show stated, “ It is also a love song and I hope you look forward to the theme song which is also a Christmas song that you will want to hear in the seasons."

“Silent” is being released in three editions total, a standard CD-only edition, and two limited editions that will come with a bonus DVD. Pre-orders are up and posted below along with Sekai No Owari’s latest song “Umbrella”.
