HIRAIDAI releases the 3rd ‘LUCKY BAG’ series EP ‘Summer Princess’.

Since this June, Japanese singer-songwriter HIRAIDAI has been releasing a series of monthly EPs titled ‘LUCKY BAG’, with each EP including a mix of new songs, past songs selected by HIRAIDAI to match the new ones, and sometimes even home demos recorded in one take on an iPhone. The 3rd EP in the series, ‘Summer Princess’, was released back on August 14.

This 3rd EP includes the new song ‘Summer Princess’, along with five older songs specially selected by HIRAIDAI, with the beach-friendly theme of “songs that will make you feel the waves”.

The EP features six songs in total, including the classic summer tune ‘Summer Queen’ from his 2015 album ‘Slow & Easy’, the bittersweet broken-hearted love song ‘GIRL FRIEND’ from 2020, and the timeless track ‘Thinking of You’ which was released in 2014.

I Don’t Like Mondays. release new single ‘Sunset Girl’, ahead of 10th-anniversary EP ‘FOCUS’ in October!

Four-piece rock band I Don’t Like Mondays. (known to their fans as IDLMs.) have released new single ‘Sunset Girl’ on August 21. This is a pre-release track from their upcoming EP ‘FOCUS’, which is set for release in October to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the band’s debut.

Kumi Koda teams up with producer Tetsuya Komuro for summer smash ‘Jump to the Breeze’!

Celebrating the 24th anniversary of her debut, pop diva Kumi Koda is currently on her greatest hits tour KODA KUMI LIVE TOUR 2024 ~BEST SINGLE KNIGHT~, with shows in 26 locations across Japan.

As her 25th anniversary year approaches, Koda continues to take on new challenges – and on August 2 she released the new digital single ‘Jump to the Breeze’, under the name Kumi Koda with Tetsuya Komuro. This song was first released on Bilibili in China in 2023 to mark the 6th anniversary of the mobile game ‘Azur Lane’, which currently has 230 million players worldwide. At the time, the song became a hot topic among gamers and music fans in China.

The lyrics, composition and arrangement were all handled by legendary Japanese music producer Tetsuya Komuro. When he was given the chance of working with any Japanese diva singer for the song, Komuro personally chose Koda. At the time, the song was only made available on the Chinese platform Bilibili, so the global release of this summer classic by two of Japan’s most beloved music artists has been eagerly awaited by fans.

For this 2024 digital release, Komuro has personally created a new arrangement of the song. The result is a summer smash featuring a Latin house arrangement with live percussion, with Koda’s unmistakable vocals blending perfectly with TK’s heartrending sound. Don’t miss this special collaboration between Kumi Koda and Tetsuya Komuro – their first since the release of ‘the meaning of peace’ in 2001.

Popular boy-group BE:FIRST takes a fresh spin on their discography with their new single, “Blissful” - out now.

FIRE BOMBER to Release First New Song in 12 Years, “BURN! BURN! BURN!” Alongside the Vinyl Edition of “ULTRA FIRE!!” Best Album

FIRE BOMBER, the rock band that appears in Macross 7, which celebrates its 30th anniversary this year, announced during the Basara Nekki birthday event streamed by SHOWROOM on August 15 that they will release their first new single in 12 years, along with a vinyl edition of the Macross 7 ULTRA FIRE!! FIRE BOMBER BEST ALBUM on October 30.

The new single will be titled “BURN! BURN! BURN!” The title track is an upbeat rock tune featuring a passionate exchange between Basara Nekki and Mylene Flare Jenius, designed to get listeners shouting along and pumped up. The single will also include new solo tracks from both Basara Nekki and Mylene Flare Jenius. The jacket will feature a new illustration by Haruhiko Mikimoto, the character designer of Macross 7.
