Aimer Celebrates 10th Anniversary With Live!

Vocalist Aimer announced that she will be holding a one-woman live to commemorate her tenth anniversary in the music industry September 7. This announcement comes right after the release of her latest album Walpurgis which was released on April 14. The live, Aimer 10th Anniversary Live in SAITAMA SUPER ARENA, will be held September 11-12 at the Saitama Super Arena. This was announced on May 1 at Aimer’s online live Live at Anywhere 2021 Walpurgis. This will be the first time in one year and seven months since Aimer has held a performance in front of a live audience. Tickets are currently on sale through Aimer’s fan club Blanc de Noir. This performance will be the first of her 10th Anniversary year and the perfect kickoff. Let’s congratulate Aimer on ten years in the industry. We look forward to more to come!

“Bijin” by CHANMINA

With the release of CHANMINA’s latest single, “Bijin”, I fell in love with this track as soon as the music video was released. Not only is “Bijin” a catchy track as far as composition goes, but the lyrics are what pulled me in as it talks about the meaning of beauty. This song really hit home for me with it’s subject matter as it deals with many struggles that women go through. CHANMINA did a fantastic job putting the lyrics in “Bijin” and making it an upbeat track that also hits home and is easily relatable too.

“Koko de Iki wo Shite” by eill

This is eill’s latest digital single and it is also being used as the ending theme song for the anime Tokyo Revengers. I was so hyped for “Koko de Iki wo Shite” and it did not let me down. This track encompasses the perfect flavor of jazz, rock, and pop all in one. The opening immediately grabs you with its jazzy feel and eill’s vocals fall right into it before the saxophone picks right up. “Koko de Iki wo Shite” flows so perfectly together in its composition between jazz and rock and eill’s vocal range shows.

“Dance In The Rain” by Koda Kumi

With Koda Kumi’s release of MY NAME IS….20th Anniversary tour, I went back to her discography after watching her latest tour. “Dance In The Rain” became a top runner on my playlist as it is an absolutely gorgeous track. The opening with the piano is marvelous, the composition starts out slower and when it gets to the actual chorus, it picks up. I love how Koda Kumi’s deep vocals fit perfectly with the composition from deep and quiet then explodes in the chorus. “Dance In The Rain” is the perfect mid-tempo ballad.

“Torches” by Aimer

With the release of Aimer’s album Walpurgis, I was brought back to her track “Torches”. I remember when this single was originally released in 2019 and I fell in love with it. Going back and re-listening to it on Walpurgis made me fall in love with it all over again. The composition is beautiful and Aimer’s soft yet powerful voice resonates with you along with the lyrics in “Torches” itself. The mixture of Japanese and English lyrics is incorporated so flawlessly as well. “Torches” has a relaxing and summer night feeling to it that it just can’t help but pull you in.

“Together When…” by Ayumi Hamasaki

As A BALLADS 2 just released this month, it has been a treat to go back and listen to Ayu’s ballads. “Together When…” is still one of the ballads that has me in tears and pulls at my heart strings each time. I love how it starts out slow, then in the chorus when Ayu starts singing “Aishiteru to”, the composition picks up along with her vocals. You can hear all the power and emotion put into this song and it gets to you. The music break in the middle has that orchestra feel that makes it feel like this song is coming to its climax and it does. You can feel every bit of emotion Ayu is portraying and it sticks with you.

Aimer Gets Heated With New Album

Artist and singer Aimer announced she will be dropping her sixth album, titled Walpurgis, which is set to be released April 14, 2021. The new album will come two years since Aimer’s last album Sun Dance & Penny Rain was released on April 10, 2019. The upcoming album will contain songs such as "STAND-ALONE", "Haruhayuku", "Torches", and "SPARK-AGAIN".

Walpurgis is being released in four editions total, including a standard CD-only edition, a limited edition type A which will come with a bonus Blu-ray, a limited edition type B which will come with a bonus DVD, and a limited edition that will come with three bonus Blu-rays. Not all the details about each edition have been revealed yet but the CD will contain 14 songs, some of which have been revealed. A track listing of what has been revealed will be posted at the bottom of the page. Pre-orders are up and posted below as well, along with a teaser for everyone to checkout.

Aimer Brings the SPARK Again With Upcoming Single!

Vocalist Aimer announced that she will be releasing a brand new single, “SPARK-AGAIN”, September 9. This is the latest release by the artist since “春はゆく (Haru ha Yuku)/ marie” back in March and will be her nineteenth single overall. Used to celebrate her ninth anniversary in the music industry, “SPARK-AGAIN” is set to become the opening theme for the second season of popular shonen anime Fire Force. Currently the single will be released with four tracks and three editions: a CD-only standard edition, a CD+DVD limited edition, and a CD+DVD special edition. The special edition will not only include a bonus fifth track but also its jacket will feature an illustration by Fire Force series creator Atsushi Okubo.

Aimer x Yuki Kajiura Stay With the Fate in Commemoration Single!

Japanese vocalist Aimer and famous composer Yuki Kajiura bring a special single to commemorate the release of Fate/stay night Heaven’s Feel III.spring song August 15. The single will be titled “Hana no Uta/I beg you/Haru wa Yuku” and it will be released the same day as the third and final installment of the Fate/stay night Heaven’s Feel movie franchise. Yuki Kajiura has composed and produced the music of many famous anime besides the Fate/stay night franchise such as Noir, Gundam SEED, Kara no Kyoukai, and Sword Art Online, just to name a few. Aimer has also participated in many popular anime by providing her voice to such shows as NO. 6, Fate/stay night: Unlimited Blade Works, Bleach, and Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn, to name a few.

This release will contain all three tracks that were produced and composed by Yuki Kajiura and vocalized by Aimer along with a new arrangement of “Haru wa Yuku” and a new version of “Hana no Uta.” “Hana no Uta/I beg you/Haru wa Yuku” is a limited release and will only come in one edition which will also have a DVD. The DVD will include the music videos for all three songs plus the theatrical videos for “Hana no Uta” and “I beg you”.
